Experience one of Birmingham’s most spectacular annual events as the renowned Frankfurt Christmas Market returns to the city to celebrate the festive season! Situated in Birmingham’s striking Victoria Square, the market has been a fixture of the city’s yuletide celebrations for more than 25 years and is the biggest authentic German Christmas Market of its kind found anywhere outside of Germany or Austria. On this lovely two-day break, we soak up the incredible atmosphere that’s guaranteed to get you into the festive spirit.

Itinerary

Day 1
Birmingham's Frankfurt Christmas Market

From a morning pickup in your local area we travel by coach to the city of Birmingham and its spectacular Frankfurt Christmas Market. Feast your senses on the sights, sounds and smells of the many products on offer, from the schnitzel, bratwurst and Glühwein available at the food and drink stalls to the hand-made leather products, glass decorations and beautiful jewellery found in the many traditional wooden chalets, all are bound to inspire that festive feeling. There’s time for dinner at leisure in Birmingham (not included) before we head to the hotel for our overnight stay.

Day 2
Birmingham at Leisure

After breakfast, we check out of the hotel and head back to Birmingham for some free time at leisure. Shop at the world-famous Bullring Shopping Centre, take in the multitude of fascinating works of art at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery or visit the historical sites from the city’s dynamic manufacturing heritage. We rejoin the coach in the mid-afternoon for the journey home.

Accommodation

We’ll stay at a well-appointed hotel. The comfortable rooms are en suite and other facilities include a bar and restaurant. Meals may be buffet style.

Your hotel will be confirmed approximately 3 weeks before departure, therefore we cannot guarantee that the hotel will have a lift and/or ground floor rooms and may be unsuitable for those with limited mobility.

Hotel Rating

Hotels with a JG2 rating are a mixture of larger hotels and privately owned properties. Décor and furnishings may be simple but are clean and well maintained. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities, TV and may have tea/coffee making facilities. Food may be buffet style in some of the larger hotels. Services may be limited but efficient.

Hotels with a JG3 rating tend to be a more formal style of hotel, often part of a hotel chain, or are very-welcoming family-owned properties. Generally, they offer a greater range of facilities and services, and bedrooms tend to be a little more spacious with additional features. Public areas are larger and include lounge seating, bar and restaurant with good quality food served either buffet style or waiter service.
