Come and delve into a magical animal kingdom and tick off an iconic London attraction! Part of the global conservation charity ZSL, London Zoo is the world’s oldest scientific zoo and is committed to protecting wildlife and restoring their natural habitats. Over 10,000 animals await in all shapes and sizes, from miniscule ants right through to the endangered silverback gorilla, Kiburi. There are so many other species to marvel at, including Asiatic lions, short-clawed otters, playful penguins, squirrel monkeys, elegant giraffes, pygmy hippos, Sumatran tigers and more, as well as fascinating wildlife talks and a whole host of different themed areas. Bonus points if you can spot the aye-ayes, okapis and sengis during your afternoon admission here!

Highlights

  • Return coach travel
  • Overnight stay at a selected hotel outside London (JG3 or JG4 rating) with breakfast
  • Admission to ZSL London Zoo
  • Free time in London for shopping & sightseeing

Itinerary

From a morning pickup in your local area, we travel to central London, where the coach drops us off. We enjoy time at leisure to see the sights or do some shopping before making our way to ZSL London Zoo for an afternoon admission. Afterwards, the coach takes us to our hotel for our overnight stay.

After breakfast at the hotel, we head back into central London for more time to explore this vibrant city. Our coach departs for home in the mid-afternoon.

Accommodation

We’ll stay at a well-appointed hotel outside London (JG3 or JG4 rating). The comfortable rooms are en suite and other facilities include a bar and restaurant.

Your hotel will be confirmed approximately 3 weeks before departure, therefore we cannot guarantee that the hotel will have a lift and/or ground floor rooms and may be unsuitable for those with limited mobility.

Hotel Rating

Hotels with a JG3 rating tend to be a more formal style of hotel, often part of a hotel chain, or are very-welcoming family-owned properties. Generally, they offer a greater range of facilities and services, and bedrooms tend to be a little more spacious with additional features. Public areas are larger and include lounge seating, bar and restaurant with good quality food served either buffet style or waiter service.

Accommodation in our JG4 category is of an even higher standard, typically offering a wide range of facilities and services. Bedrooms are designed to make your stay the most comfortable possible and the staff provide a service that reflects the detail and quality. You can also expect higher standards of food and beverages.

Helpful Information

All of our London breaks include free time at leisure and we use a central coach drop-off point for our London tours, so these breaks may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. You will be required to make your own way to the theatre and/or attraction.
