Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival

From a morning pickup in your local area, we travel by coach to our hotel, stopping en-route at a place of interest. Later we check into our hotel, where we enjoy dinner and our first night.

Day 2
Paddle Steamer Waverley

After breakfast, we travel into Llandudno to spend time at leisure before we board the Waverley, the world’s last seagoing, passenger-carrying paddle steamer for our relaxing cruise. Experience the roar of the mighty engines as we take in the superb views of the Anglesey Coast & Great Orme. Afterwards, we return to our hotel to enjoy an evening meal.

Day 3
East Lancashire Railway

After breakfast, we check out of our hotel and head to Bury, where we enjoy a delightful return trip on the heritage East Lancashire Railway to Rawtenstall, passing through several nostalgic railway stations along the way. After spending a couple of hours at the Bury Transport Museum, we re-join the coach in the mid-afternoon for our journey home.

Accommodation

We’ll stay at a well-appointed hotel. The comfortable rooms are en suite and other facilities include a bar and restaurant. Meals may be buffet style.

Your hotel will be confirmed approximately 3 weeks before departure, therefore we cannot guarantee that the hotel will have a lift and/or ground floor rooms and may be unsuitable for those with limited mobility.

Hotel Rating

Hotels with a JG3 rating tend to be a more formal style of hotel, often part of a hotel chain, or are very-welcoming family-owned properties. Generally, they offer a greater range of facilities and services, and bedrooms tend to be a little more spacious with additional features. Public areas are larger and include lounge seating, bar and restaurant with good quality food served either buffet style or waiter service.

Accommodation in our JG4 category is of an even higher standard, typically offering a wide range of facilities and services. Bedrooms are designed to make your stay the most comfortable possible and the staff provide a service that reflects the detail and quality. You can also expect higher standards of food and beverages.
