Make this Christmas one to remember on our fantastic yuletide getaway where we spend the most wonderful time of the year in the vibrant North West with friendly, like-minded people. During our five-day break, we enjoy festive food and entertainment at our hotel as well as an excursion to Chester, a guided tour of Liverpool and a trip to the M&S Bank Arena see a spectacular pantomime performance of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Itinerary

After joining the coach, we make our way to our hotel and check in. After time to freshen up, we enjoy a welcome drink which gives us the ideal opportunity to get to know our fellow travelling companions. After dinner, we’re treated to some light entertainment.

This morning, we enjoy a guided coach tour of Liverpool, learning all there is to know about its history and, of course, its most famous sons, The Beatles. After our enlightening tour, we have some time at leisure in the city before making our way to the M&S Bank Arena for a memorable pantomime performance of an old favourite, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Back at the hotel this evening, there’ll be more light entertainment in store for us.

Christmas Day is a day of relaxation and leisure at our hotel, where a traditional Christmas lunch is served with all the usual trimmings. This evening, we enjoy a light buffet dinner followed by light entertainment.

We head to Chester, a charming and compact city that is a delight to explore. The city’s fascinating history spans the centuries, from the remains of its Roman amphitheatre to the eye-catching medieval Rows that line its streets. As well as its abundance of historical attractions, Chester also has a thriving shopping centre with a host of cafés, restaurants and pubs to tempt you. After our three-course farewell dinner, we enjoy a final night of light entertainment, the perfect way to round off the festivities.

After breakfast, we check out of our hotel and head for home.

Accommodation

The historic Adelphi Hotel is one of Liverpool’s best-loved landmarks in the heart of the city. The hotel has many original period features, including chandeliers and marble halls, and facilities include two bars and a restaurant. All meals are buffet style.

Hotel Rating

Hotels with a JG2 rating are a mixture of larger hotels and privately owned properties. Décor and furnishings may be simple but are clean and well maintained. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities, TV and may have tea/coffee making facilities. Food may be buffet style in some of the larger hotels. Services may be limited but efficient.

With its original Victorian façade, the beautiful Royal Clifton Hotel is a standout of the Southport promenade. Located close to Southport beach it enjoys incredible panoramic views of the coast and offers en-suite rooms, free Wi-Fi, a bar and a restaurant.

Hotel Rating

Hotels with a JG3 rating tend to be a more formal style of hotel, often part of a hotel chain, or are very-welcoming family-owned properties. Generally, they offer a greater range of facilities and services, and bedrooms tend to be a little more spacious with additional features. Public areas are larger and include lounge seating, bar and restaurant with good quality food served either buffet style or waiter service.
