Ribble Valley & Pendle Hill Country Weekend

Enjoy a relaxing weekend getaway in the serene Ribble Valley, an area known for its unspoiled countryside and gentle rolling hills. Marvel at the breathtaking scenery that served as inspiration for Middle-Earth in J.R.R Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. Hotel Rating

Hotels with a JG3 rating tend to be a more formal style of hotel, often part of a hotel chain, or are very-welcoming family-owned properties. Generally, they offer a greater range of facilities and services, and bedrooms tend to be a little more spacious with additional features. Public areas are larger and include lounge seating, bar and restaurant with good quality food served either buffet style or waiter service.

Included Excursions

Clitheroe & Longridge

Today we journey to Ribble Valley and make our way to our first stop of the day, the charming town of Clitheroe. After a couple of hours enjoying market day, we re-board the coach and travel to our next town, Longridge. Set in glorious countryside, there is plenty of beautiful scenery to enjoy. The town is also known for its antique shops and art galleries. Later, we rejoin the coach and continue to our overnight hotel.

Barrowford Visitor Centre

We arrive in Barrowford to explore the Pendle Heritage Centre – the gateway to the Pendle Hill Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Visitor Centre offers much to enjoy, such as a museum, walled garden, shop, and Tea Room that serves both hot and cold lunches.
