Our Favourite New Year Coach Breaks
07 September 2020
After the year we’ve all had, it’s certainly time for a party! Start the New Year as you mean to go on with a coach holiday to remember.
Trade in the never-ending Twixmas washing-up and same old televised fireworks display for a fabulous party atmosphere and everything taken care of. We’ve got New Year’s covered so you can relax, unwind and enjoy the celebrations with festive food, included excursions and evening entertainment. Have a browse of our best-loved New Year coach breaks to ring in the ultimate countdown in style.
Bosworth Hall
First up is our New Year getaway to the stunning Bosworth Hall Hotel. Snuggled in the middle of the Leicestershire countryside, this mansion still boasts original features and is all wrapped up in glittering Christmas decorations. Imagine a special Hogmanay-style dinner on New Year’s Eve, while the firelight plays gently on the wooden oak panelling. Bliss!
There is also lots of time to explore a couple of traditional market towns during our included excursions, including Stamford. With its crop of old timber-framed buildings, it provided the perfect backdrop for several costume dramas, including the famous Pride & Prejudice film. And, Shakespeare fans will enjoy our New Year’s Day outing to the picturesque Stratford-upon-Avon.
Blackpool
Blackpool knows how to party with a huge helping of amusements and merrymaking! The UK’s most popular seaside resort is buzzing every day of the year, so just imagine it over New Year, with its iconic tower all lit up. This unmissable break brings all the fun of the fair and festive magic by the sea to the party.
We’ll stay at the Grand Hotel on Blackpool’s North Shore, enjoying entertainment every night, including a special Hogmanay buffet on New Year’s Eve. We even have time for a trip to bustling Liverpool on the first day of 2021 so in the wise words of The Beatles; ‘come together’ for this fantastic getaway and let the fun begin!
We set off for this three night break on the 30th December, so there is still plenty of time to enjoy those lazy Twixmas days at home first.
Peak District
Why not wave goodbye (and good riddance) to 2020 with a relaxing coach break to the Peak District? Slumbering across the southern end of the Pennines, quaint villages are enveloped between the hills and moorland like something straight out of ye olde England picturebook.
This getaway is all about cosy relaxation, fresh air and miles of wide open countryside. We’ll stay in graceful Buxton, the gateway to the Peak District and discover all sorts of treasures in this National Park’s chest. Sink your teeth into a slice of Bakewell; the town famed for the tasty confection boasts a pretty five-arched bridge and restful riverside walks. We’ll also enjoy scenic drives through England’s first National Park and, of course, a special celebratory dinner on New Year’s Eve itself.
