Meet The Team - Elaine Holt

12 November 2020

  • Please can you introduce yourself?
My name is Elaine Holt, I’m a Reservations Assistant and have worked at Just Go Holidays since March 2018.
  • What's a typical day like at Just Go Holidays for you?
I check all the bookings from the previous day on the website, all the travel agent bookings, then I’m in a rota answering the telephone for bookings and queries, along with answering emails and checking Facebook messages.  The day goes very quickly!
  • What do you most enjoy about working at The JG Travel Group?
Teamwork. We all work together in Cheltenham from all the different departments and we are a very big family. It is also such a pleasure to speak to our lovely customers and book them on a holiday to look forward to.
  • What's your go-to getaway to recommend to customers and why?
I love North Wales. It’s so picturesque and time has stood still in so many places. Llandudno seafront is such a lovely walk and Betws-y-Coed is stunning with the slate waterfalls but it can be very damp, so always pack an extra layer!
  • Do you have a top tip for customers going on holiday?
I have been on many coach tours, and my friends and I always take snacks with us. Raisin bread is a given for me, perhaps the odd chocolate bar… saves a bit of money when you stop at the services for a comfort break so there is more to spend when you are away!
  • What's your favourite holiday destination?
My favourite place to be is Florence, such a beautiful and historical place to visit. People-watching with a chilled Pinot in hand is a must.
  • Are there any new tours for 2021 that you're particularly looking forward to?
I am very tempted by our trip to Balmoral Castle and Scone Palace. I’d love to see this favourite of the Queen.
  • How do you spend your free time outside of the office?
I am in a skittles team, more for the social side, we will never win any prizes for knocking enough pins down! I enjoy visiting National Trust properties especially the quirky ones such as the Back to Backs in Birmingham.
