Staff Takeover: Two Reviews of the Norton Grange Coastal Village on the Isle of Wight

16 March 2022

Back in January SEVEN coach loads of our lovely passengers flocked to the Isle of Wight for a fabulous break packed with wonderful excursions and some amazing entertainment.

Two of our very own staff members, our Trade Sales Manager Claire and our Partnerships Manager Laura, went along to greet our wonderful customers. We caught up with them to find out more.

  1. Please can you introduce yourself?
I’m Claire Dutton, I've worked in travel for 38 years (!) and I’ve been with Just Go for just under two years
  2. Was this your first time on a Warner break?
I’ve been lucky enough to visit and stay at several Warners properties with work over the years: Alvaston Hall, Bodelwyddan Castle, Cricket St Thomas, Holme Lacy House, Littlecote House, Nidd Hall and Thoresby Hall.
  3. What was the highlight of the break?
    The FOOD!
  4. How would you describe the evening atmosphere, the entertainment and food?
A Warner Leisure Hotel always has a fabulous warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff are fantastic, so the service is always excellent. The entertainment is always top quality and a real highlight. The food at Warners is always a real treat with so much choice and every taste catered for! If anything it’s hard to choose what to have, it’s all fantastic!
  5. What kind of daytime activities were at Warners?
Norton Grange has an indoor pool, a games room and cinema plus lots of outdoor activities such as  archery, shooting, and bowls
  6. Any other stand-out moments for you?
Having a fabulously relaxing lunch in the bar, overlooking the sea, chatting to guests.
  7. What were the Premium Chalets like?
They were very plush and much bigger than I expected them to be, with lots of extra space and extra special touches. They are well worth the upgrade!
  8. Do you have any tips for our customers coming on a Warner break?
The bars and shops are cashless, so don’t forget to take a debit/credit card with you which is assigned to your room. Everything you then purchase on site is just charged to your room. Also, take advantage of everything that Warners has to offer, try lots of different dishes in the restaurant and just relax. Everything is done for you !
  9. Customers should not forget to pack?
Their party clothes! Warners entertainment is a great night out and not to be missed.
  10. Which Just Go! break would you like to try next?
Thursford Christmas Spectacular, staying at either the Warner Corton Coastal Village or the Warner Gunton Hall Coastal Village.

    Excellent.
  5. What kind of daytime activities were at Warners?
Quizzes, archery, bowls, swimming, yoga, cinema, giant chess, table tennis and board games.
  6. Any other stand-out moments for you?
A full dance floor, amazing food and fantastic hotel staff.

The Garden Suites were beyond excellent. They were jaw-droppingly amazing.

  10. Which Just Go! break would you like to try next?
Game of Thrones! I love a city break. I have always wanted to go to Belfast to see the Titanic museum so this is a triple bubble as I get a city break, Game of Thrones Location and Studio tour and the chance to see the Titanic museum all in the same 4-day break!
