Recently restored to her original 1940s style, the impressive towering funnels and timber decks of Paddle Steamer Waverley provide a magnificent venue to enjoy the Welsh scenery from a different perspective. With free time in Llandudno and Liverpool also included, this three-day trip promises sightseeing, shopping and a whole lot of steam, too!

We’ll stay at a selected hotel. The comfortable rooms are en suite and other facilities include a bar and restaurant.

Hotel Rating

Hotels with a JG3 rating tend to be a more formal style of hotel, often part of a hotel chain, or are very-welcoming family-owned properties. Generally, they offer a greater range of facilities and services, and bedrooms tend to be a little more spacious with additional features. Public areas are larger and include lounge seating, bar and restaurant with good quality food served either buffet style or waiter service.

Day 1

From a morning pickup in your local area we travel by coach to our hotel, stopping en-route at a place of interest. Later we check into our hotel, where we enjoy dinner and our first night.

Day 2

After breakfast, we travel into Llandudno to spend time at leisure before we board the Waverley, the world’s last seagoing, passenger-carrying paddle steamer for our relaxing cruise. Experience the roar of the mighty engines as we take in the superb views. Afterwards, we return to our hotel to enjoy an evening meal.

Day 3

After breakfast, we check out of our hotel and head to Liverpool. The city centre is packed full of shopping opportunities with Liverpool One offering a host of outlets. The Royal Albert Dock, officially named in June 2018 by Queen Elizabeth II, is an area that has been renovated and rejuvenated over the years, featuring the largest collection of Grade I listed buildings in the whole country as well as award-winning attractions. After a few hours of exploring, we rejoin the coach mid-afternoon for the journey home.
