Day 2 – Krakow
This morning we explore Krakow with a guided walking tour, followed by free time. Situated at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains, this wonderful city has a rich variety of architecture and some of the main sights include the Royal Wawel Castle, St Mary’s Basilica and the Renaissance Cloth Hall in the main Market Square. You can also visit Oskar Schindler’s Enamel Factory, which has been converted into a museum, to learn more about Poland’s role in WWII. Tonight we enjoy dinner at the hotel.

Day 3 – Toruń & Gdańsk
We leave Krakow and travel to our hotel in Gdańsk, our base for the next two nights. On the way, we stop in the UNESCO listed medieval town of Toruń. Nicolas Copernicus – the founder of the heliocentric theory, proving that the Earth rotates around the Sun – was born here and there is even a museum all about him. This university town is also famous for its gingerbread. We enjoy dinner together tonight at the hotel.

Day 4 – Gdańsk
Located on the Baltic coast of Poland, this city’s history spans more than 1,000 years and it was here that on 1st September 1939, WWII began with shots fired from the battleship Schleswig-Holstein. Afterwards there is free time to explore the city at leisure.

Here you can discover a romantic castle ruin, Baroque churches, the Hill of Three Crosses and pretty winding streets. Dinner is included at the hotel tonight.

Day 6 Warsaw
Poland’s capital city, Warsaw is full of surprising contrasts. The scenic Old Town, which is entered on the UNESCO World Heritage List, sees impressive skyscrapers rise behind it, with historical buildings blending seamlessly with modern architecture. At the end of WWII, the city was left devastated, however it has slowly been rebuilt and on our guided tour, we find out more. We then enjoy free time to explore.
